Hi,
I've been trying to use WebDisk on my free hosting server, but I can't seem to get it going.
Sadly, when I download the connection program from cPanel, it throws up a "Network File Permission Error" in addition to the error below when I run it.

I've tried connecting from the Finder on my mac to https://mydomain:2078 and I get the following message:
"There was a problem connecting to the server. The file server will not allow any additional users to log on. Try to connect again later."
(The same happens also for http://mydomain:2077)

Anybody any ideas on how I can fix this? Could it be something like a permissions problem?
Thanks in advance

I'm not even able to browse above link.
Error 102 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED): The server refused the connection.

Can you login to cPanel? Didi you upload something that not suppose to?

Thanks for your reply - I haven't really uploaded much to my site - I use wordpress installed by softaculous. cPanel, FTP transfers and everything are working correctly as expected - to be totally honest I'm not really all that concerned about the WebDisk not working, but as the mac FTP client won't let you write to a server (apple disabled it for some reason) I was hoping that WebDisk would be a good alternative to use. I would like to try it if I can get it going but ultimately if it's a bit of an unknown issue, I don't mind too much.

You can't connect using a port that isn't open, and most ports are closed for what I hope are obvious security reasons. External access to your account (other than email) is restricted to cPanel, FTP (port 21) and HTTP (port 80). The secure versions of FTP and HTTP would be open if it were possible to assign a fixed IP address for certificate correspondence, but that's not available on Free Hosting.

as @essellar said above - you can NOT use SSL to access your x10hosting's free-hosting account with HTTPS or SFTP
WebDisk is one of those items in your x10hosting's free-hosting cPanel - that you can NOT use in your x10hosting's free-hosting account - due to closed ports

IMO FileZilla would be a good alternative to use - see [ https://filezilla-project.org/ ] - for a free FileZilla client to try
