My account recently got suspended because I had a place to upload text files. So my question now is. At a different part of the site. I have a text area, and a submit button. From the contents of the text area I create a text file and store it on the server.

Is this allowed??? Is there any circumstances where this will be allowed, if I maybe delete the file straight away or something?

I deleted the file from the server for now just to be safe.

What is the purpose of users being able to upload plain-text files?

the user does not upload the text file. The textfile just gets created with some info in it. I later on then read the data from the text file and store it a database.

I'm asking what kind of info is submitted. If there's nothing wrong with it, you may be able to just keep the upload script and I will notify the other staff.

The info that is uploaded is just some information about a player from a game.
The game has players that have different skills, and it also states how good that skill is.

The info in the file usually looks something like this.....

Jay cayeaux
25 years old | 8,459 CSR | 191 cm | 100 kg
Right handed, right footed, in average form, and supercharged energy levels.
A conservative player with controlled discipline, moderate leadership, and horrible experience.
Stamina: Limited Handling: Average
Attack: Satisfactory Defense: Reputable
Technique: Limited Strength: Limited
Jumping: Horrible Speed: Satisfactory
Agility: Moderate Kicking: Decent

Hope this will be allowed. Else I would have to find an alternative way to do this
Edit:
Thanx for the help but I found an alternative to file uploading and file creation.
