I like phpBB becuase it is itegrated into postnuke already. Which means I don't require 2 databases being used.

i vote for phpBB becz it has extensive support for beginners ,FREE and hundreds of MODs to customize,lots of styles to choose from,regular FREE Updates...., A very nice forum software..

i haven't tried SMF till now , is that FREE??

i suggest using phpbb, because it's easy to use, and you can find loads of hacks for it, which are easy to install.
