I am planing to use the premium hosting service but I don't really understand the prices. First I choose the package for example the $4.95/Month and when I choose the domain name it says $9.95/Year.

Is the $9.95/Year only to register the domain name and the $4.95/Month for the hosting service?

Yes, the domain is $9.95 per annum and the hosting by x10 is $4.95 per month.

So if for example I registered a domain name at some other place what would I have to do to transfer to x10hosting?

Change the namservers on the domain, and then park/add that domain in cPanel. The nameservers are ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com.
