error log is empty

When I go to review my error log the box is empty. This seems the case ever since the server change over earlier this year. As this is my first experience with building a website I was wondering whether this is due to htaccess redirects I have in place about the same time! Any advice would be appreciated.

Error logs are disabled on free hosting servers. Unfortunately they end up not being used by most users and cause problems once they become to large.

Thanks, that's cool now I know. Analytics showed my site has started attracting interest from Russia over the last few days and I was going to check if this interest was hostile and producing errors. At least I know now that there aren't any logs to check.
