My account was suspended yesterday/today and it appears that even the database was deleted. I logged in today as soon as I received a message about the suspension but now my joomla site can't connect to the database.

I can see the database is still there so does anybody know how to backup the database and restore it on my local server before I decide what to do with the free service?

I have done a lot of work and it would be a disaster if I have to do everything all over again. My site is here:

http://joomla.x10host.com

I can assure here everybody that there is absolutely nothing pornography in the site. It was suspended because I did not login for about 3 weeks or 4 weeks because I was in the hospital because of a serious accident.

I desperately need the databse backup and the files. I have managed to get the files using FTP but DB was impossible even using phpMyAdmin. I tried export and import but it is not showing on my system. I will try again over the Christmas but if there is another way please let me know.

Thank you.

Edit I'm seeing your site saying it gas a database error not suspended

I would recommend requesting to be unsuspected but if your account is suspended you no longer have access to data and they will not provide you a Backup you broke their tos

joomlax1,

The suspension system doesn't delete files it only affects your ability to log in to FTP/cPanel etc, and from accessing the site. Something else is at play, here.

I just recreated a new password and changed the Joomla configuration file and it seems it works for now. Now I need to find a way to have a backup (off-line) so that I don't lose anything should something go wrong. I may need to go to hospital after the Christmas so I better be prepared assuming I will be able to come home alive!!!;)

The site is still here: http://joomla.x10host.com

Backups are always a good idea, but never a priority until something goes wrong!

One thing I have recently found out that X10host doesn't have a proper back facilities. I also have a free account on Hostinger and they have a very good backup system. You can click on the backup button and it will backup your database as well as your files. Now this is something which needs to be implemented on these servers.

Who do we need to contact about this feature? Any ideas?

Hi,

On our free hosting servers, you can backup your databases by using the Export feature in phpMyAdmin, and your files can be downloaded through FTP. :)

Thank you,
