Hi x10! Wow didn't i sound like a spam bot there. Well anyway I got a php script running on my VPS from x10 that can display http, ftp, smtp, pop, imap and mysql status. http://www.unfoundbug.co.uk/status.php
It seems to work even with x10's firewalls, (yes their's are still failing.
Reason for posting is i'm to sure how to make this easily available for other people to use. I was considering making alterations to the script to allow the selection of services to ping and how to output the results, what do you think? or should i try to make a nice little image script?
Edit: If you REALLY want to I have just made a small modification so that if you change the address to show status.php?LH=TestDomain.comDisp=80 you can get a really simple 1 or 0 with 1 being online and 0 being offline. (Replacing 80 with the port you want to ping and TestDomain where you want to check)

Well then, I just added ciroc, i don't know about any of the server names, as a warning i will NOT be adding vox, this is because the only port that vox responds to is one that is normally unusable anyway. if you find any bugs that are no listed i'll also give credits,
Current List
1) Anything is excepted in the host box including non-valid arguments
2) letters can also be entered into the port box
