anybody use snort?

was wondering if snort can be used to monitor a windows network for malware?

I haven't used Snort, however Snort is simply a packet sniffer which analyzes traffic on a network. Snort can be used to detect some forms of Malware (typically the noisy ones) based on their traffic patterns.
