Hi,

I wasn't sure where to post this

I need to copy or move lots of files in many subdirectories into another folder, without keeping the directory structure. I.E.

folder 1
|-sub folder one
| |-file1.txt
| |-file2.txt
|
|-subfolder two
|-file3.txt
|-file4.txt

I need to become

another folder
|-file1.txt
|-file2.txt
|-file3.txt
|-file4.txt

This will be with lots of files, so I need a way to do it quickly.

Anyone know how I could do this?

Cheers

well anything like that will take a little while...hmmm just highlight in each folder the files you want to copy, then set them to copy over, and repeat with each folder...thats how i would do it...

**EDIT: you can have many folders moving at once you know...

Download the public_html file and do it on your computer and wipe it out and reupload?

Windows Explorer would be the easiest way to do this.

Sorry, I totally forgot about this thread.
I used a program called explorerXP - It's like Windows Explorer but uses tabs for folders rather than windows.

Anyway I did it in the end so
