Is there any way to check if your domain is being forwarded properly? I set up my domain http://www.mildlyhotpeppers.com/ with x10hosting's nameservers yesterday and as of now I can't really tell if it's still propagating or something's wrong. I used to use FreeHostia and it would say [X]DNS not OK.

So I was wondering if any mod was able to check that for me?

You can always check your WHOIS info and see if the nameservers are correct or use the tools over at http://www.dnsstuff.com to check.

You also need to park it or add it as an add-on domain for it to work with your account.

Thanks for the tip on the nameservers. As for the second part, what do you mean by needing to park it or add it as an add-on domain?

My domain was parked when I first bought it, and then I changed the nameservers to point to x10hosting's. Initially, I still saw the parked page, but after a while the server couldn't be found. I had my primary domain on x10hosting.com changed to my domain - on the page http://x10hosting.com/account it says:

Primary Domain:http://mildlyhotpeppers.com
cPanel URL:http://mildlyhotpeppers.com:2082

I thought parking was used when you don't have a web site ready yet and you just needed to reserve a domain; I thought add-on domains were used to redirect another domain to a subdomain, such as yahoomail.com to mail.yahoo.com. Am I misunderstanding this?

The help's greatly appreciated!

You are right about the domains, I thought you were talking about a parked domain for some reason.

Either way I fixed your DNS settings and you should be set. Clear your temp files, cache, and flush your DNS.

Please re-open if you need further assistance.
