I have uploaded DNN and extracted it. When I try to set it up I keep getting
    404!
The page you were looking for is not available.
Am I able to run DNN on this server? If so can someone help me?

I don't see why not, since it's written entirely in ASP.NET

    Have you configured mod_mono?

mod_mono is Apache's way of handling Window's .NET technology.

you need to add this to your .htaccess file:

AddHandler mono .aspx .ashx .asmx .ascx .asax .config .ascx

With all the forums out there, do you have to use DNN? A php based forum would be supported by the server much easier.

I added the handler to the .htaccess and im still getting the same error. Maybe I will try php app. I never tried working with php. Are there free starter kits somewhere? If so can you point me in the right direction?

i really like simplemachines. that's what I use.

    www.simplemachines.org

but, there are probably 20 more out there. phpnuke and phpbb come to mind. If you do go with simplemachines, I can help you through it step by step since I know it quite well.
