FTP for my site (charliesomerville.com) is down.
It might be cossacks wide or just limited to my or a few other sites, but FireFTP just says 'Unable to make connection'.
Some guy (forgot his name, one of the legends of a staff member) put up a detailed up/down thread for each of the services on each of the servers and that said FTP was up.
I Ctrl+F5'ed and it still said FTP was up.
I was wondering whether the issue is at my end or your end or somewhere in between.
I'm trying to access from my Dad's work so all ports other than 80 might be blocked, but I don't think that's the case since I could connect 5 mins ago.

Any way, thanks to all of the x10 staff for the amazing volunteer work they do...
No-one could ask for a better free service.

BTW, before I go, just a question to anyone who might know the answer, are x10's servers hosted by a dedicated server company, or are they on-site somewhere?

Thanks teft90!
I would have never thought of that myself... a pat on the back and a little bit of rep for you.

Issue Resolved...
Please close this thread.
EDIT: Actually no... don't close it.

Although I was able to connect (thanks again teft90),
My FTP client will not show me a directory listing...
Here are the last 4 or so commands from the console:
FireFTP said:
257 "/" is your current location
TYPE A
200 TYPE is now ASCII
CWD /public_html
250 OK. Current directory is /public_html
EPSV
229 Extended Passive mode OK (|||63681|)
MLSD
And it stops on MLSD (The Directory Listing command on some servers)
Any hints?
