The geforce 9800gx2 is crap!. If u take two geforces 8800 gt superclocked 512mb ggdr3 pci express cards it beats the 9800gx2 and im not kidden. My friend bought a 9800gx2 and tested it with his friends 8800gt SC 512 and the performance was like WOW! 9800gx2 fails.

The nVidia 9 series cards are crap right now. Even though I am an nVidia person, all I need is ab 8800 Ultra and I've pretty much already pwned the 9 series cards. nVidia is either slacking, or they're messing with ATi and then going for the kill. As for me, my dual 8800GTs are awesome.

It's probably not much of a difference since both are Pixel Shader 4. It may just be something like a bug fix, performance improvement on the card, or something else, because of the .1 at the end. nVidia may be supporting it in their 9 series cards if they do come out with some better cards, after probably messing with ATi a bit :p

I doubt it, most cards don't last 2 years :p

But let's take a look, if Nvidia releases the G100, I'll upgrade now. But if they're going to fiddle around with the G92/G94 until Q3 2008, then forget it. The GTX is suppose to be a high end card, I really hope they use G100 on it.

Well I think the 9800 GX2 because I've heard of it more in the gaming industry compared to other video cards.

To everybody who said the 9800 GX2 is crap, it isn't. It is equivalent to two 8800GTS in SLI with the G92 Core. It is also said to have be 40% faster than the 8800Ultra, and 33-40% faster than the 9800GTX.

They should really combine two 8800 Ultras into the package, that'll make it a lot better. Or better yet, they should make a newer, faster card rather than play with us by selling us two 8800GTS cards. Honestly, that'd be a better move, unless they already have that in mind and are just really getting ATi stirred.
