Need a little help

Trying to get my PostgreSQL to work. I set up the database but can't log in.

I went to phpPgAdmin, typed in my username and password i set up, but it's not working.

Is there a way to get PostgreSQL installed/working?

What is the error?

the error is that PostgreSQL is not being set up. Can't connect through phpPgAdmin. There's an X that looks like the db is offline

I also like Pg better than MySQL, so this would be a great feat if we could get it to work
