One last request

Hi,

I hope I not being a pain, but I have one last support request.

Previously, I have been using Invision Power Board, and I've been having many, many issues with php 5 and sql, so I decided that I wouldn't waste any more of the staffs' time by trying to solve all the issues. IPB is out dated, low on security, and unsupported by IPS, so I have decided to go with a different forum software.

I have finally decided on MyBB, though there is but one little problem. Index.php displays a blank page.

I read this topic at the MyBB support forums: http://community.mybboard.net/showthread.php?tid=20802, and according to the last post, a php function is disabled which MyBB requires to display properly.

I really don't want to cause a hassle, but I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out.

You are not being a pain at all. Could you please post the function name, that needs to be enabled so that the admins have some idea of what they are looking for to help you with.

I posted a link explaining what the problem was.

I believe the function is "exec", since that is what the other post says.

Yeah the function is exec. I think this function is enabled on a per account basis.

Well, I just read this topic: http://forums.x10hosting.com/showthread.php?t=25304&highlight=mybb, and made the changes that Corey stated, which seems to have made things work out properly. I hope there won't be any more problems.
