Okay it's been a while since i last asked anyone to review my site and i've made a couple of changes this time, my site is http://sohailtech.com/ and note that my site is still in a 'beta'. Don't forget to review the other two sites that are part of the network - http://forums.sohailtech.com/ and http://tutorials.sohailtech.com/. I would like to have negative as well as positive comments so i truthfully know what my visitors want, what they like, and what i should improve on. The flash site is underway for a major update so i don't need much on that but for the other two sites, that would be great!

Thanks.

The fonts on the headers (like News, X10Radio, etc) seem really difficult to read cause of the font, but otherwise it all looks very good :)

It's very nice but takes long time to load! For the tutorial part there isn't enough tutorials but I'm sure you will update all that!

Its a very nice website but I can still find some things to pick at. ;)

Firstly, while there is a really nice link from the tutorials section back to the main portal and to the forums, there is no link from the forums back to the tutorials section or the portal site, this probably just needs to be added in the header with the rest of the forum buttons/links.

Also the flash text appears too small and pixilated on my screen for some reason although that may be my browser (firefox) and screen (1024x800).

I got a few html and css errors, but there weren't many!

For the tutorial section.
1 html error.
26 css errors.

For the Forums.
34 html errors.
9 css errors.

For the main page.
16 html errors.
No css errors!

Over all, its a very nice website, I really like the integrated design! 9/10

nice....
about http://forums.sohailtech.com: Good black theme. But it will be irritating to read red with in the black background.Your name sohailamir and the word Administrators will be difficult to read atleast for some people like me.
It will be nice if you could implement FURL (friendly URL's ) for phpBB.

http://sohailtech.com/ is taking more time to load so i just closed the browser.Sorry for that, but i have only limited bandwidth quota per month.

http://tutorials.sohailtech.com is using email feature with out an ecaptcha image.Possible risk of spam.If you don't wish to use ecaptcha try consider using Akismet plugin.

I will rate overall as 8/10. Good work.

I think there is a problem with the tutorial site where the content moves under the navigation, if this happens to anyone, could you please send me a screenshot?

Interesting, could you give me a little more detail on sohailtech.com, and for tutorials.sohailtech.com, do you mean all the content has moved under the navigation?

Hi, i had nothing else to do so i ran some tests on your site,
It works fine with all the current browsers (IE7,Safari,Firefox)

But for some reason it causes IE8 to go into a continuous load, then just crashes.
you might want to ready your site for its release i know its a long time from now but better to
be ready now than say have to redo your site a month before release :happysad:

I myself have had a number of problems with Javascript and IE8 and since all my sites wer made to compinsate for IE7's bugs im up the wall redoing things lol

See attachment for sohailtech.com, and for tutorials.sohailtech.com you are correct that all the content has moved under the navigation (which remains in place on the leftat the top). Hope that helps.

FIrst of all, I didn't see the attachment for the tutorials site, maybe you forgot? And i don't see why that happens on the main site, does it happen to anyone else, i guess I'm going to have to find a way to fix this for sure as it wasn't long ago that i had problems with the dimensions of the swf file, i was hoping for it to automatically be centered and resize itself to fit the screen that the visitor is using. I think i will contact someone i know who is good with CSS to fix that error on the tutorial site, then you can test that once again so I know that everyone gets a good view.

I'm having the same issues as booksgo with the content being cut off (it didn't do that before!). There is also nothing in the news box and there is an empty box in the bottom-right corner.
On the tutorials site the content is under the navigation (it didn't do this before either):
sohailry4.jpg

I even have a 1280x1024 resolution!
On the tutorials site there are also strange characters in the title
The banner on the portal page links to image-without-link.com.
Fix these issues and you have a great site :)

Yeah i'll have to fix that with the portal site, i have contacted VPMase to fix the CSS for the site, so he should respond to me soon and i'll let you know when he's attempted to repair it then you can try it out again.

Okay the tutorial sites should be working now, does it work for everyone else? And does anyone else notice how the flash on sohailtech.com resizes once it's loaded so you can't see the end, i'll have to fix that today...
