I published a site on a friend's host, and quickly became google #1 for certain relevant search queries. When I moved the site to my x10hosting page, and made my friend's hosting redirect to x10hosting, google promptly dropped my site from the listing.
I subsequently changed the redirect into a my site title and a clickable link to the actual site on x10, and google made it (the title & link) #1 in the queries!

So my question is: does google just not like x10hosting?

Or perhaps the x10 has has significant downtime ad google discovered this and dropped it from the listing? Any ideas?

I have pretty good results on google. What google doesen't like is if it founds 2 websites exactly the same at 2 differrent places. And it can take up to 4 - 6 months for google to really index your new site.

I don't think Google does that. In fact many x10 subdomains show up in the first page itself.
