Solution to SQL error?

Hi,

Im getting this error when I try to set an e-mail ban-list for my phpbb3 forum.

Got a packet bigger than 'max_allowed_packet' bytes [1153]

I know its something like just increasing this variable but I don't know where to find it. Any ideas?

That is a server-wide variable and cannot be changed by normal users. I recommend trying to set less things at once so it does not attempt to upload as much data at a time, if that is possible. If not I recommend asking phpBB's support for other solutions/workarounds.
