Hi guys,

Ive had a VPS on x10 for a while now, Ive been happy but now I'd like to know why the CPU load is starting to rise and why it is only showing 1 core when I know vox had a quad core?

Please can someone shed light to this situation soon,

Regards,
Jamie

technically the servers have 16 cores.
thngs have changed, vps's have been reduced to 1 core, while cpanel vps's have 4 cores.
Really cheap though. I think it should be
x3 and x5: 2 cores
rest: 4 cores
cpanel on x3 and x5: 4 cores

according to corey, its to reduce abuse affecting other servers. I can't see how this would happen, since each machine is guaranteed a certain number of cycles a second.

Thanks,

Weird but now my server has emailed me twice with :

IMPORTANT: Do not ignore this email.
This is cPanel stats runner on balrog.jamiesrebellion.com!
While processing the log files for user shadow, the cpu has been
maxed out for more than a 6 hour period. The current load/uptime line on the server at the time of
this email is
00:09:45 up 6 days, 13:37, 0 users, load average: 3.44, 3.28, 3.17
You should check the server to see why the load is so high and take
steps to lower the load. If you want stats to continue to run even with a high load; Edit
/var/cpanel/cpanel.config and change extracpus to a number larger then 0 (run
/usr/local/cpanel/startup afterwards to pickup the changes).

:(

then you need to open a ticket.

Code:
<{snip}> Is vps hosting supposed to have access to 4 cores?
<Christopher> only cPanel plans now
