Neither. Windows is an unstable, insecure, hole-ridden mess (I only have it bc I'm a gamer), and Mac offers nothing. Linux FTW.

Mac offers nothing?
Anyway, mac for me, windows is idd unstable, too much programs that are running in the background, viruses,...
Mac offers for me everything windows does+ a whole lot more.
It is stable, beautiful, easy, userfriendly,...
Linux is very good, but still not easy enough for a normal household to work with.
Apple has the advantages of linux but easy for everyone to work with

I had a triple boot (xp, vista, ubuntu).
Now I run virtual box within xp.
Has to be windows mainly because some of the CAD tools I use are specifically and only for windows.

Windows, mac has a very limited application set.

Sure it looks pretty good but nothing beats compiz-beryl at the moment. I do use linux on some of my rigs though.

You can choose exactly what programs run in the background. Antivirus. Windows is stable, easy and userfriendly. Have you used Linux Mint?

OS X is Linux. Well, UNIX. And UNIX is Linux. Because Apple just can't build an OS without ripping half the code from UNIX.

UNIX is not Linux... UNIX has been around for a very very long time... Linux is a "UNIX Like" kernel written much later by Linus Trovolds or however you spell his name... with a bunch of gnu tools

I beleive apple is SYSTEMV unix based and has a large library which is what really would constitute the Mac OS that almost all of its apps require which prevents them from running on Linux or other Unix environments

Most linux apps can be recompiled in OSX as they share a common code base. Too bad the reverse isn't true (as least no legally due to legacy code).

I like Windows because you can you have more freedom for customization. I have been looking into Linux(Ubuntu) and the problem with that being that my current computer has a video card AND an audio card that are not supported by Linux. However, when I buy new cards I will make sure they are supported by Linux and I may finally make the full switch.

Yeah, I know. UNIX is a relic. A secure, still good relic, but nonetheless, a relic. Linux is based around the principles of UNIX. Heck, they were going to sue for plagiarism (or similar) at some point.

Oh, and its Trevalds. I think. >.<

No offense, but I don't care how pretty it looks, how user-friendly it is (if it's complicated, I WILL figure it out), or how 'easy' it is. I don't spend the majority of my time browsing the web, using PhotoShop, or typing essays. I'm a PC gamer, a game/mod developer/programmer, and an ethical hacker (even though I could do that with a Palm Pilot). Windows fits all of those, Linux fits some of those, Mac hardly meets my requirements.
