I did rename htaccess.txt to .htaccess, still no result. Then (with apache on) I tried enabling SEF URL's, which caused the entire site (besided the homepage) to turn to 404's. Then I turned of SEF and left Apache on, and the site is fine again. But the URL's are the same as in the beginning.

I enabled apache mod_rewrite for my Joomla site. Did everything right, but nothing happened. Why? Thanks!

Let me make note that my account was only completed in the last 2 hours, might this be the problem? I have several different x10 accounts, all of which worked perfectly the first time. I came back and now it doesn't work. I'm starting to lose faith....

I also get a 404 when I go to the Joomla admin panel, even though all system files appear to be present.

I just installed Joomla. When I visit my site I get redirected to the x10 homepage. Why?
