Swedish Philippine Lexicon
The lexicon started away back in 1995 as a way for me to learn the Bisayan language, the first compilations where done in Microsoft word and just printed out for my own use, I soon found out that I had to master more Filipino languages and the Filipino cultures if I was going to learn anything. So it all started, I started compiling 4 different Filipino languages, such as Tagalog, Cebuano, Illocano, Ilonggo and of course Swedish and my mother tongue English. After compiling 20,000 translations, I printed my first dictionary, 1280 pages, six languages all in the same book, I had no intention of selling, this was just for giveaways to my Swedish and Philippine friends. A University in the USA contacted me and asked me if they could use my database in a language project in a joint venture with other Universities, just after a short period of time I was getting inquiries for my dictionary. Now came the problem, the dictionary was too large, I re-designed my dictionary and compiled it into several versions.
I keep updating the lexicons now and then when I have time.
