Is anyone interested in writing a tutorial for creating a facebook app that's even more basic and detailed than the one on facebook?

Well that would be boring - 2 installations of *buntu. But that's probably the best idea, since it would be sure to recognize my hardware.

I use Ubuntu 64 bit, and occasionally have problems with programs not working because they are only available in 32 bit, notably Amazon mp3 downloader and Java. So far, my solution has been to use openSuse 10.3 (32 bit) as a second operating system. Well, I kind of want to try out the newest...

I don't know what the problem with running the virtual machine is (I've had no luck trying to run virtual machines), but the reason that it's claiming you don't have a 64x cpu is because the virtual machine is emulating an i586, not a 64x.
