This has been working fine for 5 years. Since yesterday, I have an error on POP receive that the server does not support the type of encryption requested. Outlook 2013 offers the choice of SSL or TLS. Neither works. What's changed ? (Naturally, I've checked that the account is not suspended...

motechx2 is correct. Non-SSL works for receiving mail. I've just received messages dating back to 14th October which, incidentally, I couldn't see with the web client. Like SylvanOgre, I've been using SSL for receive with my mailboxes for about 5 years and it was broken by the recent updates.

Receiving email has been broken for at least 2 weeks now. I haven't seen that anyone is interested in fixing it.

Since the email problem started, I have not been able to connect to mail from Outlook. The error message says that the server doesn't support the protocol used. Also, no incoming mails arrive. The problem isn't fixed yet !

FTP is working fine for me now. Could this be a problem with the server not cleaning up idle FTP sessions? - every time I forget myself and open an FTP session from Windows/XP (no PASV mode) or in a browser, I leave a session open (which I then kill from cPanel).
