WAMP server. Really good. I have been using it for long time. With WAMP you'll never get many problems you face with XAMPP.

I prefer XHTML. Because it is clear. XHTML introduced to end the compatibity issues with different browsers. It is very clear language. And its DTD(Document Type Definition) is meant to the browser how to render the page....which version we used etc...And the result will be the page...as how...
