point the DNS to:
ns1.x10hosting.com
ns2.x10hosting.com
at the registar
and add the domain name in cPanel.
then wait. (it may take up to 36 hours for the domain name to propagate)

can you post up a screenshot(blacking out important data) of it saying 500MB.
the administration may have to take a further look into this issue if that is the case.

your domain will not be tied up, you will just need to switch the DNS settings to your new ones.
