After the upgrade imagecreate() can't be found. I have tested this locally and it works fine. Is there a problem with GD?

Anyone having imagecreate errors after the upgrade. I didn't have a chance to test the site until today and noticed that imagecreate() doesn't work now. The error says it is an undefined function call. Anyone know of a fix for this?
