I set up two email addresses, but when I send an email to them I get a failure notice. Is there anyway to fix it?

Hi I set up my hosting yesterday and for some reason it keeps bouncing between my old hosting provider and x10. I have checked the name servers and everything seems to be working. Do I have it configured wrong? Also my email isnt recieving mail. I get a post failure.
