You have to go to co.cc and request/register the domain. x10hosting does not register the domain for you. Once you register it, use your account there to set the DNS nameservers to ns1.x10hosting.com ns2.x10hosting.com

One problem is that the blue default page is the result of a 301 'permanently moved' redirect which the browser remembers. As to the subdomain issue, I will escalate it to an Staff to fix, but it will be rather low priority, since it does not seem to be causing problems at the moment.

Add on domains have their content stored in a subdirectory of public_html and are considered a separate site from you main domain. What is the name of the subdirectory where you want the files to reside and the domain to point to?
