Try looking at https://x10vpn.com/howto. It has all the details you need to connect, as well as instructions for Windows and Mac. If you use a different operating system, look up how you set it up for it. As for the IP, until yours is setup, you use a shared IP. The logon details don't change...

I'm only using one computer for the VPN, however I also have setup the VPN on my iPhone. I just tried using it on there with no luck, which means it's not just my computer.

I'm still having the same problems now. I've seen you use Google DNS, but when I try to use their DNS servers without the VPN, they work.
