I would use the XML-http request feature. It would update that image without changing the page. But you would have to learn AJAX

The firewall on the server prevents connections other than localhost from connecting to the mySQL database. You may want to just import your database into the x10hosting database.

Put ALL your PHP code before the website. The header must be called before the browser interprets the page.

Keep in mind that this is FREE HOSTING. my site is up 24/7/365.25. I don't know what server you are in, but it's probably your ISP. Also, if you don't like it, LEAVE. it's not like we are losing a customer by a free hosting subscriber leaving because their site goes down a few times...

X10 hosting uses Linux. Windows executeables will not work on linux. You would have to have a windows VPS or dedicated server in order to run executeables.
