No you don`t need to set redirection. redirection automatically move visitor to new page. For Example: If you set redirection on http://yoursite.com to http://mysite.com Then the visitor who open http://yoursite.com will automatically move to http://mysite.com

Go in Cpanel file manager. Copy all files from wordpress dir to public_html(www). and then go to mysite.com/wordpress/wp-admin and change the URL to mysite .com Then go back in file manager and delete the wordpress folder.. you are done!!
