    Yes, when the server is down you'll get a "Network timeout" error or a"The server is taking too long to respond" error. Internet Explorer will sometimes say that "the server cannot be found," but it all means the same.

    Need help transferring domain!

    Is it a top level domain (like website.com), or a Free Hostia subdomain (like website.freehostia.com)? Because if it's a subdomain, they probably only want you to use it with your Free Hostia account. Otherwise, just change the domain's nameservers to ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com...

    That's a tough one. I'd ask on the Joomla forums. You can save your database, which is what has all of the categories and sections.     Ah, well that's good to hear about the paid hosting reliability. I was planning on setting up my site on a free account, then upgrading to paid and possibly a VPS after that. However, the 50% uptime (and incredibly slow speed) made me very nervous. Anyone have any experience with the VPS service?
