    Trade links

I have a webpage that haves two good places for advertising. One is always seen right below the menu and the other one is on the footer. The both are always seen on every page at http://sgaming.org, http://engarde.sgaming.org. I'm willing to trade one of these for a text link or banner ad...

    Bug-Tracking System

Does anyone know of a decent Bug-Tracking System that is simple to install? I just make simple php script web based games, so I don't need anything with a large amount of features. I just need a system people can submit bugs and then have a place where people may respond to the bug report...

Do you use tables to control your web page content?

I try my best at creating a website without tables for layout, but in some cases a table is much faster, easier, and works better. One such instance is when I need to simply place two objects beside each other. With tables you only need to create a small two column table and place the objects...

    HTML or XHTML?

I have been doing some more reading and I started building my webpage using xhtml. Even though more browsers may support html, all browsers will still read xhtml. The crappy browsers like IE simply read xhtml as a html file. I'm pleased at the cleaner xhtml code and I find it easier to debug.

Do you use strict or transitional HTML or XHTML?

I have decided that I am going to go with transitional to give me more freedom and make sure all my pages validate. I am going to try my best to be as close as possible to strict, but I am not going to spend hours in that attempt.

Do you use strict or transitional HTML or XHTML?

I just finished skimming through a comprehensive book on HTML to update myself and it basically suggested against using strict and outright said that XHTML 1.1 is overkill.

    Dreamweave is it the cost?

This may be true for you, but please don't assume it for everyone. Personally, I have no intentions of using Dreamweaver. I would not use it even if I could get it for free. I am very happy with Quanta Plus and if I was not using Quanta, I would be using Eclipse.

    HTML or XHTML?

I find this topic confusing. I have read in several places that XHTML is suppose to be the future and that you should design web pages using that, but, then I notice other people saying that HTML is still the standard because it is used much more than XHTML and supported much better. To add to...

    Center Picture using CSS

Hi, I started scripting in HTML in the 90's where it was as easy as <center></center> to centre an image, so how do I do this using css and html 4.01 strict in a simple way. I tried looking up on google and could only find complicated answers. I also tried text-align in CSS, but that...

    Dreamweave is it the cost?

Very true, free is always better. No kidding. What moron pays for something when they can get something that cost nothing that is almost as good, if not better.

    Absolut is very busy

The normally very quick and stable Absolut server seems to have a very high server load the last couple days. Constantly, it haves a server load between 18 and 25. Even one minute after the reboot the load is up to 18.14 and it is slow to respond. Have you run the script looking for high cpu...

    Questions about Content Management Systems

I'm going to take your advice and I have just installed Joomla from the C-Panel. I noticed the one installed with fantastico looks like it is outdated. If it is, is it easy to update, or do you suggest I install Joomla from their website? Thank you for the suggestions, I will make sure to...

    Dreamweave is it the cost?

I tried Joomla on my site and I can now fully see what people are saying. It is nothing like a WYSIWYG or IDE and should not be compared to them. I know it is not for me because I do all my editing on one computer and I like to have full control over my site. But, I can easily see how...

    Questions about Content Management Systems

Joomla is one of the ones I am thinking about giving a try. I have tried WordPress when I put together a test blog and I liked it for a blog and I can see why you consider it a CMS, but it would be too constricting for me. This sounds a lot like PHPBB3 where you can edit the html and CSS...

    Questions about Content Management Systems

with many people suggesting a Content Management System to write with I am becoming more interested in trying out out just to see what it is like. I just have a few questions. How easy is it to make a unique site with one? I mean, I do not want to just use a template that others have...
