stupid question probably but, i am installing xoops and it asks me for the server hostname? i used localhost and the user name i created but it tells me that it cannot conect to the database?

I had a database and user, when i went to change the user permissions, my database and user dissappeared. Tried adding them back in without success... any ideas on whats wrong?

I am trying to install getsimple cms on my site, when i attempt to go to the site, i get a 404 error even though i already have the cms uploaded to the www folder? any idea on what is going on?
