I agree with Satheesh, the logo should be changed, it doesn't fit the current style.

I think that logo would go very well with the forum!
All colors are in the forum, something you always want.
Yes, complex logos are irritating. Put the logo on and test it out.

Out of curiosity, I know this is off topic, what do you use to make your logos?

I use Paint.net, it is a great program, considering its free! It has a lot of great features and is capable of a lot more than the simple logo I created.
I also used it to create my sig and avatar

I use Photoshop... I've used Pain.net before though and it's quite good..

yeah, it's pretty good, especially since I don't have to pay anything to use it lol

I find the GIMP to suit almost all my needs. It is a very powerful application and it's all for free.
Photoshop: It gets the job done, but with effort. My photoshop 4 freezes if the computer is inactive for like 30 seconds. Very frustrating but I never encountered that with GIMP.
I haven't tried paint.net, I'll check it out!

I like the site, only advise that i would give is change the color a darker shade because its kind of dull, and mabe make the logo a little bigger
