a site map is a xml file used to show links on you site to a search engine index so a like google bot can see what files it should look for and how often they are updated so it can check back and update the google search index.

hey i'm just trying to be helpful there are people out there that don't know where to look for that kinda stuff and i wrote my own crawler to search a site and its URL's to index a persons site so if you want to knock my attempts to help others thats fine go right ahead
