2 part question

First thing, I got my site up and running, link is in my sig. Starting small, but building up as we speak. First question:

1) Do we need things like meta tags so search engines can find the site? Or is that done automatically?

2) I saw in the News forum that x10Corporate just needs a text link ad. What is the code for that?

3) I'm assuming I'm able to host files for others to download. Is there a certain directory where I host them? If so/not, what would be the link?

1) You dont really need meta tags but they are helpful to search engines and the like.

2) There is a link under my sig to the ad codes, use it to find what your looking for.

3) I do believe they are to go in your public_html folder but I`m not sure about that.

1) How do I input meta tags/let search engines know I'm up?

2) I saw that they updated the ads so that xCorporate just uses text links, and that link in your sig doesn't have the code for the text link.

K I got the text link added on all of my pages, and I figured out how to host my own files. I'm still wondering how to add myself to engines like google/yahoo sites like that.

Did you not read that or something? you have to use the banner with corporate.

Yeah I read it...and I have the text link in my overall_header file...so it shows up on all pages.

You are on Advanced and you said you needed text links with Corporate so I said it the way it should be. But I think it was pointed to you. And I see your ad and it's fine ^^.
