3 akward doubts or problems

1. ftp problem:

the route which leads to public_html/site/templates/vista_template/

i am not able to add edit or delete any files in this section i have chnged the permissions to 777 still problem persists . please see this.

2. domain name:

i am going to buy a domain name. can you please instruct is to what should i do as i am noob (especially that 2 server links)

3. site is correct or not?

please conform that my site is correct and will not be banned

can i put my ads, it is said on registeration page that i can put .

Post a changes in the changes section. Also your site works for me and to put the ads in the html code edit the index or something like that.

sorry i am not able to understand you. the site is coming but ftp editing of the specified route above which is the current template i am not able to edit it.

hi there, i couldnt understand ur first question so ill not be answering it.

now for q2
go to godaddy.com search for the name u want, this is a very st forward process. when ur done, ull have a domain, a godaddy username/password

login with the username and password in ur godaddy domain control center (DCC) go to manage domains, then click on ur domain name, then click on name servers. there ull c a number of boxes. in the first 2 enter ns1.x10hosting.com ns2.x10hosting.com

logout

open ur x10 cpanel, search the domian box, click on addon domain
enter ur new domain name, type the domain name, select the subdomain it points to, (since the way this thing works u might have to install joomla again in that domain)

enter the username / pass for the ftp accounrt

and ur done.



toadd ads in joomla
go to extensions.joomla.org and look for advertising exensions my fav is adflex its great!

1) Change permissions to 755, as 777 permissions have been disabled because of a huge security hole.
2) You'll need to point the domain nameservers to: ns1.x10hosting and ns2.x10hosting.com . You should be able to do that, at your domain registrar website. After doing that, you can "Addon" your domain to have a separate website from your main website, or request a domain change in the Changes section.
3) You're site is OK, and it won't get suspended.
4) You can have your own ads.
