Hi, I have a subdomain sales.helenahandbasket.com registered to use ns1/ns2.x10hosting.com for DNS, and I've got it as a parked domain on hhkysales.x10host.com. No redirects set in cpanel, and no redirects in .htacess, other than the default wordpress index.php rewrites, and some W3TC rewrites which disable behavior if you're in dev mode essentially, but nothing involving the hostname.

And yet, visiting sales.helenahandbasket.com serves a 301 redirect to hhkysales.x10host.com. I'm not sure where this has gotten set or how to unset it. It might have something to do with having turned on CloudFlare at one point. I know that they work against the CNAME www.hhkysales.x10host.com and I have a feeling that x10 put a 301 redirect in place to make it still work, but after having disabled that, I still can't seem to have that stop happening.

Other sites I've set up work the way I expect with the custom domain in parked domain.

Ideas?
Thanks!

Aughhh! I found it, however, I've seen posts like this without this particular cause.

It was wordpress's fault. Settings > General > WordPress and Site Address was the issue. Creating a 301 Permanently Removed…which can cause some browsers to be real asshats (like Chrome).

Hope this helps someone else as well.
