Hello,
CGI (Perl/Python) is disabled on Free Hosting accounts due to incompatibilities with the server and cPanel, and is also indicated on our free hosting comparison page. We are working with cPanel to resolve these issues, but there is no ETA on a fix. CGI is not disabled on Illuminated or Premium, so if you need to run those scripts, please consider upgrading to one of those services. Illuminated is really cheap (only $1/mo!) and can be purchased via the link on the bottom of that comparison page I linked to above. Premium comes as low as $3.95/mo and includes a whole slew of extra features (such as SSH, Remote MySQL, unlimited resources, 99.9% uptime guarantee, and automated backups every 6 hours, to name a few) and can be purchased at http://x10premium.com
