404 Not Found

I'm now getting a
[h=1]404 Not Found[/h] The resource requested could not be found on this server!

but my database shows my content is still there.

any help.

Since the site appears to be Joomla, I assume the .html pages are actually supposed to be rewritten (internally) as requests for index.php?=SOMETHING requests.

Go into your Joomla admin and turn off all SEO settings (plugins, modules, "fancy URLS", etc). Go back to plain vanilla.

Test the site after clearing your browser cache and history. If it works, add the SEO settings back one by one.

TY. that work, it was the "Use URL rewriting" that did it. Working now.
