421 Home directory not available

Hi,

I just created a new website and successfully uploaded my files by FTP, but now im unable to re-connect after switching connections in filezilla.

In cPanel i can see the file tree is complete with public_html, the website WAS accessible but is now coming back as a 404 even though my public_html has an index.php file

Could someone please help with this?

Ok it looks like i resolved it
For some reason my home directory is public_html/dev/ so i created that folder and moved my content there via cPanel and now i can FTP onto it and the page loads OK

Im going to re-create this website to try fix that so my file paths work for root
