this is weird...I can acces my index page...but no other pages, or my ftp or my Cpanel...I even got yelled at bc I asked them why I got banned but it turned out I didnt. LOL.

Its definitely bc of the server move.

hmmm...well, i dunno. the news v2 is ok, the v1gives this internal error. But the 1 is customizable and 2isnt so i want 1 >_<

I'm getting the same error too. I can visit my url at dj.x10hosting.com, but when I try to login to Wordpress, I get the 500 internal server error.

Definitely wierd. To add to this, I also recently started receiving errors within Wordpress where I was seeing messages that said "You don't have permissions to do that". I was just able to make changes like 2 hours before I began receiving the "permissions error". And I'm the admin of the site so I don't know why I wouldn't have permission. I know X10 doesn't provide support for WP, but I just thought it was an odd issue on top of this "500" error.

i was reading some other topics, and i chmod`ed all files to 666 and the txtx files to 777 (like the readme file of mznews said) but nothing worked.

Linking your account has nothing to do with getting you site up. Those are two separate matters entirely.

I chmodded your mznews folder to 755 and it seems to have fixed the problem.

All the other people posting in this thread, you need to open your own to get help. We will only help the original thread creator.

We don't allow 777 because it gives execute permissions to everyone. 755 does not.

hmm.. its like, the installer say THIS:

Follow this to correctly install MZNews:
1 - Make sure your server supports PHP 4.
2 - Upload all contents of the mznews folder. Do not change the install folder, must be /mznews, and your website in the previous folder, in case /!
3 - CHMOD 777 the mznews folder and CHMOD 666 in all .txt files.
4- Go in the folder with your browser http://www.yourdomain.com.br/mznews/), and do the login with the following:

pass: XXXX
When you login the first time, you will be redirected to the installer page. Edit your info etc.
Then use the following php includes:

So, the mznews folder is 755 not 777 and the txt i've added 666.
i add the user/pass but nothing happens.

Is not script code since i downloaded in the official webpage and it works in my other server.. (i just installed there)

have you checked your sql password to make sure it wasnt changed in the move or the DB name?

this script does not use sql xD
its has his own db in a txt file

i installed here and at my server. made same thing both but using the correct chmod.
in mine, 777 works and all work smooth.
here, since cant 777, we used 755, and when i log, does not log ¬¬'

cant you allow 777 in my web only?

i accept the risks of a 777 chmod. since will be just in mznews folder, and the db files just some txt, is easy to backup ;P

It looks as if it was created 5 years ago by the copyright. Most likely it is not compatible with the security settings that are common now. I do not have time to debug it to see what is going on, like I said your best bet is to get support from the script creator.

We can not turn off security features just for your account either.
