I am having this kind of problem...

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@follwersby.x10hosting.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Any idea what's causing that error? I can't post anything on my test board, that will return this message. :dunno:

I did some tests, and this error is only being showed if I am posting any kind of URL in my board. What's going on? :happysad:

Look in the error log and see what it says. That's always the first place to start :)

If you post what it says I may be able to help further. But right now, it could be anything.

Saying that this kind of error never happened before and nothing was changed in my board ever since was installed will help?

It's obvious this is one of x10hosting bugs...

EDIT: Error log says:

[Mon Jan 19 10:08:15 2009] [error] [client My-IP-address] File does not exist: /home/follwer/public_html/500.shtml, referer: http://follwersby.x10hosting.com/posting.php?mode=edit&f=2&p=85

Its not your site. The new x10hosting updates are causing this.

I'm having basically the same issue with MediaWiki. I guess we'll just have to wait until this gets fixed...

Our error logs pretty much match up -- there is no entry for the 500 anywhere. All those are 404s.

Let's hope this is fixed soon :)

yes i too think that these errors are because of the updates that are going on, i am also having the errors, and mine is not caused because of posting links but randomly..

You have to have patience we cannot do anything about it.. :dunno:

Yeah, have got the same issue with parts of my site now too. All within the past 2-3 weeks. Was working great before then. I've got a ticket in about it, so am just waiting for some results. :-(

EDIT: From the looks of things (on my site at least) its like its timing out or something thus causing the error screen to show up. I tried the site in two areas that I knew of that were causing this error. And used very small example uploads which went through fine. Yet if i tried a slightly larger upload it went nuts an errored.

So guess they've changed some settings, I'm on Intermediate (Level 2) PHP, and so hope that its fixed soon. Cos having such a tiny setting for data update is a bit sucky. Oh well, we'll find out soon enough, :)

EDIT: Just checked my error logs, an noticed these 2 lines:

[Fri Jan 23 05:40:10 2009] [error] [client xx.xx.xx.xx] ALERT - script tried to increase memory_limit to 67108864 bytes which is above the allowed value
[Fri Jan 23 05:38:42 2009] [error] [client xx.xx.xx.xx] ALERT - script tried to increase memory_limit to 134217728 bytes which is above the allowed value

So looks like they've reduced the memory_limit recently. Cos I never got those errors before now (well since before this issue started happening).

When I asked the phpBB team about this issue, they replied:

It's likely a poorly configured security rule. You should let them know that this is happening
EDIT: You can add another problem to the list.

Server is too slow! Download rates at 10 kbp/s using different programs to download anything located in my account, and still very slow. :runaway:
