500 server error

I keep getting 500 server error when i click a link on my staff panel installed on my site
This what it says:
Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, support@x10hosting.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

I check error log and says this:
[Wed Jun 09 14:27:02 2010] [error] [client 82.4.229.205] File does not exist: /home/criot/public_html/favicon.ico

How can i fix.

I've already checked all say 755, which they all do. How can i fix. This is seriously winding me up as its been happening since wednesday. Consideration into a new host is on the way if not resolved by tomorrow evening.

You could try posting any .htaccess files your site might use. It seems that besides the "set permissions to 0755" fix, the new server configurations has required some adjustments there. Specifically, the need to use a

RewriteBase /

directive.
