Ok, I am fully aware of the rules regarding ads etc.

Let me you in on my situation. I have decided to set up a template section on my website, where of course all templates will be made by me, so no one will be able to upload their own!

My question is, how best to display these templates.

I mean if I let a user view them at the moment, they will be taken to the actualy template file which contains the ads in.

My point in, would it be possible to have a file with two frames in it, where it has a drop down menu linking to each template, and the ads would be in that frame all the time, then have the template display in the second frame.

Would I still have to include the ads in the templates, as they would technically be publically available, but being shown through the frame.

I am kind of at a lost at what to do here!?!?

Any help offered is appreciated!

Regards,
Zenax

EDIT: Example of template: http://freezebox.x10hosting.com/templates/simplebutcurvy/

that is a direct link to the template file, so you can get a live preview.

The ads must be displayed on every page, so frames can be used only if the ads are present in both/all frames. Your best bet probably is to display the ads in the templates just as you would for an active web site.

Or if that isn't a viable solution, then link to an image file like a screenshot of your template and provide a seperate link to download the file in a .zip file or similar.

Well i have been telling people (Im probably going to get a slap now), that it is ok for them to place one ad in a frame, and in the other frame no ads (Because its visible on that page, and they cant move/close that one frame).

Oh well :(

so bsaically I either have to place the ads into both frames or to have a link to an image of the template itself, or let people use the live version, but have the ad codes itself inside the template.

Would it be possible to have the ads display in the live version, but the version placed in the download will not contain the code at all, so there is two different versions of it?

You can do what you say.
Put the ad in the live version, and don't put it in the download version, because it public can't see it directly.
