Hi,
I am just trying to set up my site after getting access info. a few days ago.
I have the Corporate Plan.

For the ads, I just inserted the php ad code into the website template, but will have to wait to ftp because currently an ftp connection cannot not be established.

My question is:
I will be TESTING a number of scripts, sopme probably for a while, including Tiki wiki, Dew phplink, php-wiki, and several others, before deciding which one I could use later.
Is it compulsory to insert the ad script in them as well, since these WILL NOT be in any case accessed by anyone apart from me?

In case one must even in such cases add them to "each page" does anyone know where in case of the above scripts where to insert them so they appear?

Thanks :)

The general rule of thumb is that if the public (ie. anyone other than you) can't access it, it doesn't need ads. This means you should password protect what you don't want the public to have access to. You may still want to put ads up just in case an account manager gets a hold of the files.

For your second question: All web-based software works differently, which means how you get the ads to display on say IPB will be far different than on PHP-Wiki. There is usually either a file you can edit (look for "header"/"footer" in the file name) or a section of the adminstrator's control panel that would let you do this.

Because of the scary "Suspended accounts-related" threads I thought I could ask the admin. to confirm my action is officially sanctioned so I dont run into trouble.
You will however quickly establish that only the root directory is NOT password-protected and has ad-code for corporate sites I copied from that page.
