Why not use GIMP to slice it? In fact, design the whole thing in GIMP.

You are having the same problem that Senor is having. Don't make websites in a image editing program. You use GIMP, Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro to edit graphics and photos. Since when has anyone made a website [worth visiting] that had nothing but photos? Do some research on how to make real websites.

Any web developer who knows, will only ever use notepad/kwrite/bbedit. All you need to develop a website is a text editor. You don't need an image editing program. Sure, images make the sites look nice, but people aren't visiting your site to see your web graphics, they're there to read your content.

I don't know what it takes to get people to realize that making "templates" in Photoshop is web development like Microsoft Frontpage is web development.

sorry if i pissed u off magistrate, but i just got bored so i thought i would try. i dont think that i am having that problem, i just cant code that well yet. (not to be rude) but we do all have skills like you. (no offense). I, am still learning PHP. i know right much HTML, but i can know more. but i understand what your saying, but alot of visitors will turn away if they dont see graphics.i mean if i see a site that has time put into it, i think that it is official. so i kind of disagree with you, if you want the graphics go for it, but dont let them be all of your site.you need to have good strong conent behind it.
