Absolut ?

The server since i joined seems like an up and down rollercoaster. I've read through all the Absolute posts and it seems it keeps having the same issues.

Don't take this as me complaining. Just concerned with what exactly is going on. I want to start a website out, but it constantly going down every 30 minutes or so is going to make it hard.

I joined 5 days ago and my account is on absolute (up and down rollercoaster) as well lol

It seems we're not the only ones so probably they are working on it.

This is just a cheer up post :biggrin: , lets wait and see what happen.

I joined a little over a week ago. It only goes down at 9:30PM every night for me most nights since I've had hosting. Other than that, it's great. As I say "Hey, it looks like the server died! Oh well, we'll just have to wait until it respawns "

LOL, I don't want to see any spawn camping either. I want this server back up as soon as it can!

I second Charlie on this, x10hosting has been very stable in the past (be it free or paid), that is until they upgrade the servers.

Hence, I too am curious on the frequent outages recently as servers do not go down without reasons.

I plan on upgrading my account here in the near future, I just wanted to check out what there was offered here. As the server continues to crash and on their main site they offer 99.9% uptime. I am beginning to have little faith in the paid account servers.. are they the same servers just paying for more space or are they located somewhere completely different.

I know this isnt the place to be asking questions, but it's just general statement of why I open this topic.

Corey has been working all day removing inactive accounts. To do such the task, Apache has been crashing all day. He knows this and now it's narrowed down to be a bug in Apache.

He's working hard on a fix, so worry not. This happens quite often with any host that upgrades servers. Usually servers are stagger upgraded as to not interrupt service, but this being a free service, I doubt they have the resources to do so (not that it's expected either )

EDIT: Just so most of you know as well, this isn't just an issue with Absolut only.... Stoli has been intermittently going out throughout today as well.

up down, up down... All day long. When it finally went back up and im working on it.... my account gets suspended... WTF!

I bet im the reason the server keeps going down, everytime i try to work on my website, it crashes right after i start.. now im suspended.. lol

If everyone here paid $1 for hosting there wouldn't be any issues because I could spread the accounts across many servers. When we have so many accounts on each server for the free hosting it makes it very difficult to do upgrades or anything that affects accounts.

Our main goal now is to get rid of all the inactive accounts, they currently comprise more than 50% of the accounts on each server.

Is there a $1 dollar a month plan? I will sign up for that if it allows me to connect to my site without any problems.

That would be possible if everyone did that... $1 isn't much but when you have a lot of $1's accumulated, that'd add up
